PROJCT 365 *week 10*

10 weeks
and still
GOING
STRONG!

day 65
365/65
Picked up baby chicks today to go in the hen house mansion down at my moms. The kids were SO excited! Lars couldn't keep his hands off of them... But who could blame him? They ARE pretty dang cute!

day 66
365/66
Sunday. Every once in awhile the boys will humor their baby sister and play with her. (Lars actually does this quite a bit) But today she was spoiled with the attention of both boys.. Later I walked in her room and this is what I found. Not sure what kind of tea party they were having, but decided it needed to be photographed.

First track meet of the season today. Lindsey was a ROCK STAR! She took firsts in high jump and disc. This jump was 4 ft. She could have jumped higher (she missed the next level at 4 ft 2in. but look how much she cleared this time?!) however the weather was unbearable. Her coaches don't spend much on technique for the field events. So we are excited as to what next year might bring as she learns more in HS. (She loves high jump) She also took a first in disc, throwing that heavy thing 54 ft 4 inches (last year she did 61 feet, again, I believe that the weather was a huge factor) She also ran in the 400x2 relay and the 8th grade girls took second. (I should say that she gave up 2 of her events, the 100 because her friend didn't have anything to run and the 400x1 relay- she traded that with a friend so she could get the high jump.) Awesome.

day 68
365/68
Playing with Jenna today. I read a heartbreaking story last night about a little 3 year old who is dying (I found out she died the next day) of cancer. It was the saddest thing. This little girl had been so sick for the last few months that all she could do was lay in her bed and sleep. Wincing in pain if she was bumped or moved. Her mom talked about how much she wished that her daughter were running around the house, making messes, asking for cookies and laughing loud. How it tore her apart that she couldn't even hold her sick baby. It made me realize how lucky I am to have beautiful healthy children and that I need to cherish every waking moment I have with them. So jenna (stoney) and I made a HUGE mess in her room today. Playing.

day 69
365/69
Today is a special day. 11 years ago this adorable freckle faced boy was born. He is turning out to be quite the (moody, emotional, smart, talented) young man. We are lucky to have him in our family. Happy Birthday JENS!

day 70
365/70
Nearly forgot to take a picture today. The boys had off school due to parent teacher conferences, I had to still teach tumbling and I tried to keep everyone busy although I was exhausted. After tumbling I treated the kids to McD's then we ran to parent teacher conferences, then home for a quick minute, then the store for Jens, then the dollar movie and etc etc. At about 6:30 I remembered I forgot to take a picture so ran around outside.. Then I saw the jeep sitting in the driveway.. And realized how much I long for summer.. When we can take the top off and ride around with the warm summer sun shining down on us. So here's jared's jeep. (that i don't really ever get to drive... but whatev.) LOL

day 71
365/71
I ordered some hair clips from my good friend Tiff Brady.

I've been watching them for awhile.. But just kept forgetting to place that order.. Well, this week I finally did and when they arrived I was speechless! They are ADORABLE! This is the one jenna chose to wear to school today.

We've got a busy weekend.
Chalk full
of birthday parties
(2! one for Jens and one for Jenna)
a soccer game
and decorating for the youth dance.

not to mention a couple deadlines
and other fun projects
I'd love to work on!
