Family Postsjust me.
just blogging.

are you surprised?

it's the end of december
the end of another year.
i have so many goals
that i want to set
(and hopefully accomplish)
for 2010.
wow.
just saying that
sounds weird.

one of those goals
being.....
a better blogger.

obviously i can't go back all the months
that i've missed
and been bad at blogging.
so i'll just start with december.

so many fun things have happened this month
that i think it's the perfect place to start.

we bought a new christmas tree
for our new beautiful home
and i absolutely love it.

it's perfect
and decorated
it was also perfect.

(that was on december 5th.)

on december 9th
lars had his 8 year old
-baptism interview
with the bishop
i can't believe he is now 8.
whoa.

on december 11th
jenna had her christmas
prek program.

she loves going to school.
and i love that she loves it
but i will be glad when it's over
and i don't have to fork out the $150
a month any longer.

at her program she
was a native american lady.
it was so cute to hear her
(and all the other 4-5 year olds)
say their parts.

december 12th was lars
birthday party.
we decided on a robot theme.
and i decorated with fondant
for the first (and quite possibly the last)
time.
not that it was hard...
just it wasn't that much fun.
ROFL

happy birthday little dude.

on tuesday the 15th,
grandma and grandpa
larsen came to visit.
sadly, i have no pictures
taken from the time
they were here.
it was quite the relaxing week
and i enjoyed just visiting
for a change.

on saturday the 19th
was lars baptism.
here is my little
(grown up)
family.
just before we left for the church.
oh how i *heart* them all so much.

my handsome little guy.

my brother his wife and her 3 lil girls came
down for lars baptism
and christmas
on monday the 21st.
everybody came over for lunch
it was crazy fun.

on tuesday the 22nd.
the kids and i
decorated the gingerbread house
and made a snowflake craft.

on christmas eve
we all went down to my moms
for traditional mexican food.
and our little reenactment of the
nativity.
man, those are some cute kids.

that night before going home
we drove around looking at lights.
we found the awesomest house.

there were so many lights
you couldn't even see the house.
so cool!

christmas day was amazing.

the kids woke up
about 5:30am.
we let them head downstairs abt 6am.

it was a fun morning.
and the kids are pretty spoiled.

lindsey got a flip video camera
and a CHI flat iron

jens got the new iPod nano
and a iHome

lars got an electric guitar
and a microscope

jenna got a new bike,
a CD player and
some magnet dolls
and lots of miniature
princesses.

as a family gift
i also bought the kids
a trampoline.
they've spent all weekend
outside.
in the freezing cold.
i should have just gotten them
that and nothing else.

who knew that would be the favorite?

i got the most amazing gift of all.
jared bought me
a vintage pearl necklace.
silver pieces
each engraved with
his name, my name
and one for each of the kids.
i absolutely love it.

i haven't taken many pictures.
as i am thoroughly enjoying
being lazy
and doing absolutely nothing.

however that is quickly starting to
get old.
plus
all i'm doing during the day
is chasing the kids around
and picking up after them.

ANNOYING!

jared has off all week.
and i'm trying NOT
to ask him to do
the million and one
things on my
'honey do'
list that i can't
do when he's not around.
as it is HIS break too.

i am looking forward to
taking it easy the rest of
this week and
spending time
with my family.

it has been an awesome year.
and i am so very
grateful for all
that i have been blessed with.

i hope you've all had
a wonderful holiday
as well.

much love
-J
